In my continuing search for the ‘perfect’ WordPress centralized management utility, I have been testing MainWP and their remote backup extension. I haven’t had any issues up until today. On every site that I’ve used it on the backups have worked as intended. That is until today …
I decided to test MainWP’s remote backup extension on a SiteGround site which has had issues with BackupBuddy. Continually I received an error … “Error:No MainWP Child plugin detected”
After deactivating, reactivating, deleting and reinstalling the MainWP Child plugin I began my search through the MainWP forums which lead me to this article: http://docs.mainwp.com/backup-failed-php-ini-settings/
I placed the following code in wp-config.php above this line /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */. Not only did the MainWP backups start working but iThemes BackupBuddy backups started working as well.
